Taking
it all in.
...we get to think of life as an inexhaustible well. Yet everthing happens once a certain number of times, and a very small number, really. How many more times will you remember a certain afternoon of your childhood, some afternoon that's so deelply a part of your being that you can't even conceive of your life without it? Perhaps four or five times more. Perhaps not even that. How many more times will you watch the full moon rise? Perhaps twenty. And yet it all seems so limitless.

Just this morning I was reading another blogger, and his picture and comments were on "Life".
ReplyDeleteLife is such a precious gift, we rise each morning, take that deep breath, and sometimes forget that the air we breath is a new gift every time we take it in.
I am going to take some time today to just meditate on life, the gift,
and the One who gives it!!
Thanks dear.
Beautiful photo too.

i suspect i will re-read this more than once ... thanks for sharing this thought ...
ReplyDeleteAnd sometimes we forget that while in someways are a bag of water, it says Biblically that we are dust. Since we are dust, you'd think we'd remember our humble beginnings each day.
ReplyDeleteGood blog.
All so true. I've been in this very place with my thoughts of late. It is a challenge to find the right balance of living like there's no tomorrow and planning for the future.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this thoughtful piece.
