Omnipresence ~

Walking Blessing

That each step
may be a shedding.
That you will let yourself
become lost.
That when it looks
like you're going backwards
you may be making progress.
That progress is not the goal anyway,
but presence
to the feel of the path on your skin,
to the way it reshapes you
in each place it makes contact,
to the way you cannot see it
until the moment you have stepped out.

Friendships, relationships, our roles as a mother, wife, daughter...  they all change. We change. Weather it's through growing, stretching, trials we face and how we might challenge ourselves to persevere no matter how we think we might not be able to take one more step.

Wanderlust ~

My ideal lifestyle from vocation to vacation would to take one year off from work; not worrying about expenses.  I would travel light, in addition to taking a journal, and my camera. I would also drive an old green truck that would never break down.

I've always had a strong longing to travel, and to stop when I wanted to; sleeping under the stars or renting a room with the bare necessities. I want to meet people and hear their stories; their life passions and who they love...  and then move on to the next wanderlust.

I think I'm a gypsy at heart, and this kind of year off would be a dream come true for me.

What would your ideal vacation be?

Slow Down ~ Smell The Coffee!

I love weekends... especially after a hellacious work week, and it was a CrAzY one; our department paid for its "short week" with problems hitting us as soon as we started the day coming back from Labor Day's three day weekend, ...which made it feel longer. I have found it's almost a given, for these three day weekends we occasionally get, we pay for it; something almost always goes out i.e., the refrigerator, freezer, or electrical. BUT, I must say, our department got through it and covered each other; we are quite the juggler act!! : )

Yesterday after work, I laid down at 1:30, and woke up at 5:30... and I felt like I could have slept longer. Time to slow down and smell the coffee, versus early up; slamming a cup back, and off running.

Everyone ~ enjoy your weekend! : )

Flaws Keep It Interesting! ;)

It's being flawed makes you human.
Everyone has got their stuff.
Everyone is just trying to figure it out.
Learn how to pick yourself up
Dust yourself off and get back at it...
Whatever you believe in.
Because there's always going to be lumps.

The true test of character isn't
how you are on your best days.
It's how are you on your worst days...
or when things don't go right.

Ask yourself,
Here's how I answer to criticism...
Here's how I'm going to change what I'm doing.
Here's how I'm not because I believe in what I'm doing.

Starting Summer Off ~ With A Bang!

Charlie's starting the second phase of the beach house for his clients and asked me if I wanted to go with him. What could I say? But, "Of course!"

This little Hummingbird seemed to be feeding constantly!

There were so many different birds in this garden! At one point, we had to close the sliding glass doors to the beach house; I was afraid they were going to fly right into the house.

I tried to get a picture of this bright yellow bird all day. Ha ha... You should have seen me! I was hiding behind bushes and running to where it would fly. I think a lady was watching me through her huge window; I kept feeling like someone was watching.  I would look in her direction and there she would be.
I couldn't believe how fast it was!

There were deer everywhere!

Here is another bird. It reminded me of a skunk with the markings on his head.

I believe this little fawn spotted me. What a cutie!

More deer....
