The Window

The computer that I do my blogging and check e-mails sits on a table by the window looking out to our front yard. The hummingbird's love to feed from a butterfly bush that is by this window. In the early morning, there will be a cool breeze that flows through the front of our house and I can hear the hummingbird's go to the bush. They draw my attention and I find myself just watching them until they fly away. The feeling that I get when I watch these birds, is not only fascination, but I have also noticed a calming effect that washes over me. I plan to plant more of these bushes in my yard next spring.

* Charlie's scan result's showed that his cancer has significantly decreased in size.

  1. Oh Hurrah for the good team of Charlie and Angela!

Isn't it great for the soul to watch the hummers? And the long flights they make are just amazing. I used to think that all the hummers just do their thing and here am I, in God's own image, worrying. Where do I get off doing that? Rain continues here with an inch plus since yesterday. We need it.

  11. What great news. Keep up the good works, Charlie. As my wife said when she was diagnosed, "I've got it. It has NOT got me." It worked. After a several returns it is in remission.

The photos of the hummingbird and the praying mantis are beautiful. They have come into your sphere of attention to bring you and Charlie comfort.

You both are truly blessed. Thank you for blessing our lives as well.

  13. Angela, thank you for your sweet post on my blog. It was an encouragement and helps to know this is a "normal" course of things...also reading your words were hope-filled to me.

I have thought about you and your husband and have neglected so much blog reading lately. I just caught up--and am SO thankful that your husband's cancer has decreased signifcantly. Thank you Lord!

I'll be remembering you in prayer!
    Cheryl
