I have been working on this scarf for a friend since the beginning of June. It feels good to have it finished. I have some yarn left over and I love the color of this green so much that I think I might knit one for myself!
I have been putting some of my photo's to card stock... just playing around really. My girl-friend has many talent's and one of them is making cards. She suggested that I could put color paper behind the photo's. I started laughing and mentioned to her that I had tried to pick some paper out to do just that. I found it very overwhelming and decided to keep it very simple.
In the morning, I have been enjoying my quiet time.
I would like to know what kind of occupational therapy (if needed) you have prescribed for yourself?
I have needed some occupational therapy, but mine is about being active. I've been not doing self-care very well since Tim has been ill, so this week I finally got back to exercising and doing stuff that makes me feel content. I find it helps me to concentrate on drawing and beading as well and helps my posture and shoulders, also.
ReplyDeleteI like to make bead jewelry, paint and read. Exercise is not something I like to do but have started doing anyway for my health.
ReplyDeleteAnother thing I like to do is shop. If you ever seriously make greeting card sets for sale, I would love to be one of the first to buy some. Variety boxes for me because I love all of your photography.

I love that picture of you in your Japanese kimono. You look so lovely and serene.
ReplyDeleteI have "borrowed" it for my collection. Thank you honey.
Love,
Aunt J
How lovely is that young woman standing in the garden of roses, meditating....that's a card, my dear.
ReplyDeleteLoved all your cards, clicked to see them bigger...when will you have your web page???
Being a grandma is my occupational therapy right now. Seems everything else has taken a back seat. But I love it.
Hey sexy girl in the Asian nighty...I need to start looking over the fence more ;) oo la la
ReplyDeletemy occupational therapy is *you*
and stolen moments...when we ALWAYS laugh!
love you a ton,
xox Darlene :)
Your cards look lovely. I actually wrote a similar post a few days ago about losing yourself in your hobby/passion as a way of healing. I swear by it! I love to carve and sculpt outdoors with the sounds of nature all around me.
ReplyDeleteI agree with aunt J , if you sell your cards then I want to be the second one to buy them. I love to use my knitter for my occupational therapy other times it is baking or
ReplyDeletewriting. and sometimes it's just going for a long drive by myself!!!
hope all is well can't wait to see you
big hug and love
