Happy Feet!

Okay! I just had to post this. It may not mean anything to anybody but me. These pretty feet are my mom's. The day before Mother's Day my little sister, Kiersten, took my mom to get her very first pedicure. She asked me if I wanted to go in on this gift with her and I declined because I didn't think it was going to go real smooth. Let me explain... long ago my mom stubbed her toe, and lost her toe nail. It never grew back the same color. My mom will only wear a dark wine color nail polish in hopes that NO ONE will EVER see her toe nail. Let me add, that all of her daughter's give her a bad time about this color because we are sick of seeing it. I can't even wear this color without hearing groans from my daughter.

I was meeting my family at church Mother's Day morning, and the first thing I did was check out my mom's feet. She did it!! I was so proud of her! I told her I had to get a picture and she just said, "Oh Angela! Don't be silly!" I got my picture and what do you know, her feet were so thrilled they posed for me!

  4. Phew! I can relate to weird toenail stories! When I waitressed long, long ago I wore too tight a tennis shoe and my toenail fell off and both my toenails have a weird thick underneath to them! I have to hide it with nailpolish too! LOL I have never had a pedicure either!! My daughter keeps wanting me to! The only quick cure I know for my feet is the ocean! It heals them every time! That's why I can't wait to go but won't probably get to til' fall! Tell your mom she has lovely feet and someone on the internet is in envy of them!!! LOL

  5. Good for your Mom, for going through with the pedicure.
As you know, my daughter Blue~The Spa Girl~ runs her own day spa, and we do lots of pedicures. Almost without exception people will tell us they hate their ugly feet..and most times they don't have ugly feet at all.!
Your Mom is like the rest of them, her feet aren't ugly at all..!

  6. Oh, what fun! I'm so glad your mom let you take the picture.

Also, you have made me a reader of poetry along with another blogger. Thanks so much.

  7. Happy feet, indeed! I'm so glad your Mama enjoyed her treat. There's nothing like a pedicure to make you feel all girly and pampered!
