A Friend ~

Saturday I had a chance to meet with a fellow blogger. Her name is Annie. We discovered that we lived 10 minutes away from each other. Wanda and I met her here in Hughson at our ever-so-famous, small diner, Hamilton's, where farmers gather for breakfast or a hot cup of coffee and kids go to after school lets out, for a hamburger, fries and a soda.

I have to say, I was a little nervous meeting Annie, for this was my first time getting together with another blogger. One minute into our meeting, I felt at ease with her. At times I felt as if it was all so surreal. I knew things about her in a personal way from reading her blog, yet I was meeting her for the first time. It felt as if I was getting together with a friend. I found her to be kind, warm hearted and delightful.

Our visit was full of questions and answers. We laughed and got teary eyed, as we shared some of our mutual insecurities. We talked about her self discovery and what a journey it has been. As we exchanged small gifts, we already planned to meet again.

  1. What a story and great shot. Amazing.

I didn't do much today but...

I did write about how people used to wear long underwear over winter or until we began to stink. You can find the link at the bottom of the post today.

  2. This is lovely photo of the three of you..!
I think the fact that you came to 'know' each other through blogging ensures that you would get along in real life, since you had already established similar interests...
It's great that you all live so close,
    hugs
    xx

  3. Oh look what you did Angela. The "color me" surrounded by b/w. How cool is that? I need to learn how to do that. I'm so glad to see the pic of Hamilton's. All these years of eating there and I don't think I ever took a picture. Here's to friendship!!

  8. How fun! We had a get together of bloggers here in Portland last fall and it was just as surreal. It was great though and has kept me devoted to their blogging since then. It's such a fun way to connect with people who share creative passions. :)
