Time Traveler's Wife

I just got done reading this book and I am so excited that the movie will be coming out in August! What book are you reading?

The time will come
when, with elation,
you will greet yourself arriving
at your own door, in your own mirror,
and each will smile at the other's welcome,

and say, sit here. Eat.
You will love again the stranger who was your self.
Give wine. Give bread. Give back your heart
to itself, to the stranger who has loved you

all your life, whom you ignored
for another, who knows you by heart.
Take down the love letters from the bookshelf,

the photographs, the desperate notes,
peel your own image from the mirror.
Sit. Feast on your life.

- Derek Walcott

  1. Wow! That is a neat poem.

Have you ever thought that if we are spirit and not constrained by time which is brought about by mass (the earth) moving through space, (spinning around each day as well as wobbling in our orbit around the sun,) there would be no time. Do you realize what other parameters would be gone, what other dimensions would be gone? Oh, it is exciting what heaven will be like!

  2. I read this several years ago and loved it. I am about to read Cage of Stars by Jackyln Mitchard and the Into the Woods by Tania French. I miss your posting. Hope all is well with you and Charlie.

  3. It sounds like a wonderful book and love story. Will be sure to catch the movie in August.

I'm hooked this summer on the
The No. 1 Ladies'Detective Agency. I'm starting book four.

Think of you often, and would love to have you with us at the beach clicking our cameras. My granddaughters have caught the camera bug and both have face book now.

Recipe for staying young... hang out with your grandkids.
